Tall tales of the high sea abound in “The Old Pirate’s Tale.” From its mysterious beginnings to its triumphant ending, this programmatic piece depicts high sea adventures as told by the Old Pirate. Opening with the gathering of his crew and tall tales of escapades in sea-side ports, The Old Pirate retells his legends. Swashbuckling adventures, battles won (and never lost!), storms and shipwrecks survived, and victorious returns all await the listener in this musical narrative!
